StagesOfGrief

When statists see their cherished beliefs (indoctrinations) die, they exhibit various anti-social behaviors. It seems as if they go through the stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance (this is the Kübler-Ross model). "Denial" may take the form of trolling or projection or red herring fallacies; "anger" frequently takes the form of personal attacks, and so on. Pity them, if you have it in you.

It is frequently most difficult for current or former state employees to get over these hangups and face reality and reason, especially those that worked for the state's military. They get told they are "heroes" by other ignorants, and it is a long fall to understand their lives were wasted as murderous parasites rather than people of worth—that someone that cleaned toilets for a living did more for their fellow man than they did.
